Short Break.

It's the mid-semester break. Not much of a break. Just for my own info i am gonna list a bunch of stuff i have to get out of my way or at least complete some of them by this sunday.

Meanwhile, here's the short crop i'm carrying around on my head now. :) Amy was the first to see me. Kinda funky. I need some time to get used to it.

While i thought why i would have gotten myself a sore throat all of a sudden on tuesday while we were having a match against EH, i've got the answer. It's the haze. Despite it being in a moderate level of 54, i think our human bodies are so amazing, we register everything at the subconscious level without knowing it consciously. Not mention the spots this poor hazy condition has given me. :(

Let's hope all is well soon for everyone.

  1. mkting project

  2. mkting assignment

  3. psyche research paper

  4. clinical review paper

  5. clinical presentation on kate the half brain patient

  6. presentation on debate for neuro & cog on lang

  7. presentation on lang

  8. proj on SLI kids

  9. poster on SLI kids

Time waits for no man.

On the other hand, half of sem 2 has zoommed by and for me, it's the most worrying period because i'm lagging behind my peers who hadn't had much trainings and competitions to occupy themselves with. It was quite disappointing for last sem because i thought i would get up there but i realised there were so many of others who were better than me. Arts students are smart, smarter now too.

Well, i'm glad handball and volleyball both gave me a gold medal. In year 1 i watched them being taken away by other halls and especially how the hb snrs cried. Couldn't help but cry with them.

So although th didnt win overall, at least we won the IHG girls' title. Our TH girls are the alpha breed.

On this point, i recall the sunday life paper talking about women of this era expect alot from men. I think there's a subjective difference on the definition of equality and noone wins the debate. The only balance u need to find is a guy who believes what a girl believes on the definition of equality. Face it, there can never be equality until u can stop stereotyping sex traits. And for the masses, this is difficult to attain.

So, my personal stand is that equality is important in society. Just like people from all races & religions should not be discriminated from jobs, sexes as well. Opening doors, carrying shopping bags and walking on the side of the road are just social etiquettes that can be observed if you want to be polite. It's just like saying "thank you", not littering, or holding the lift for someone rushing in where the difference in the former case, it's a guy for girl thing. Of course i can argue that those social etiquette should also be observed between the young and the old as well as the child and the adult. While in some cultures, families allow children to talk to their parents on friend-to-friend equal basis and some others would have families who think it's rude to disobey elders. I guess, it all boils down to, which school of thought do u belong to? It's so hard to be objective in a subjective world. So, just read such things with a pinch of salt lah.

Okay i'm just rumbling but this is my blog so i like to entertain myself with some monologue. Here are some pictures. I'm writing the vball articles for TH IHG so visit if you're free. I'm kinda pissed that some of the phrases used in the SH vball article is exaxctly the same as mine. This is so infuriating. I wished i could believe it's coincidental.

:) Cheers to a week of fulfillment of academic duties. Bring on the smiles.

Happy Happy Lunar New Year.

I love big families. (not everyone was around though.) I love my granny. It was a chillaxing new year albeit the mad rush for time after that long weekend.

The impending terror creeps over yet i know there's no way it's gonna let go of me unless i crawl my way through it. I'm just trying to muster all the strength i have to master over the giant monster which is gobbling up my youth. Once it's over i know i'm gonna regret so i'm trying very hard not to slacken the grip i have now and regret nothing.

Away from her and Sweeney Todd was not happifying but they were okay. I think i expected more out of them. Maybe i should read The Diving Bell & The Butterfly by Jean-Dominique.

Hrm, Jumper next i suppose.

Okay, haircut day on wednesday. Real short bob. Cool. If i remember my camera, i'll have a hair before and hair after shoot. :))

Thanks for those who dropped by my stall especially on Valentine's! Awfully sweet! xoxo

God bless. amen.

Thought of the day:

Compliments and smiles are free, give them out more, hurts noone, makes everyone's day.

17 hours of fun.

Chinese New Year was great time to do nothing. I planned to do work but i just did nothing. Oh well.
Anyway the tradition of steamboat on wednesday was broken by a spoilt induction heater which caused a power trip. However dinner was still happy family together. Thursday was a visit to granny's and everyone was there so it was great to see how everyone has changed over the year. This year was wonderful because we all took a family photo. Some of our relatives were missing but most were there and that was good enough. :)) IT was hongbao collecting day. Then this year we had a early new yr dinner with my paternal side so i did absolutely nothing on Friday. And Saturday was full of activities and it's been a looonnngggg while since i spent so much time out without a care. Well minus the depressing thought of how much work has been left aside.
Lemme see,

3pm : Ah Long Pte Ltd, pls don't ask me why but it was quite brainless slapstick humor and i found that quite stress relieving after so much of school since january.

5pm : Tea at paragon

7pm : Wanted shisha at Samar but it has shut down so...Dinner at Raffles hotel which we sat and ate and chatted till it was closing time.

10pm: Wanted House but it was closed so continued to talk and talk and talk at Oosh dempsey. Despite nicer ambience, Oosh has poor service man. :S how disappointing. And they sorta placed the 5bucks valet parking for all customers rule on you. Shall stick to Hacienda next time.

1am : Visited Jackson's house for cards and drinking and meeting up with old hangout buds. :)

3am : Wanted to go home but didn't wanna waste our high so we went MOS. It was cool music.

5am : Hungry tummy needs Al's prata so we went upper bk tm.

6am : Visited Nat's humble home at pgp and talked more.

7am : Dropped by for morning breeze at kent ridge park. It was refreshing.

8am : Finally home and slept till 5pm. There goes my sunday.

And so that's how i spent my 17 hours away from home. Cool. Everyone should do this once in awhile just to know how nice it can be to live on spontaneity. God bless. Amen.

PS:Visit my stall along AS1/AS6 from 11th to 14th Feb. Bring your girlies! Bring food and company for me. Yeah! xoxo

Gong Hei Fat Choy!

Chinese New Year is here! It's been a real real real busy start to semester 2 with all the trainings, games, rushing for my research project, presentations and upcoming valentine's day stall. Well, at least i spent my birthday happily. Not many gifts but a precious gift of good company and food! The best part was having a birthday cake with my family after so doing without for few years.

And so we went to chijmes and timbre and met many friends who were chillaxing. I ran off to dempsey before any of them sabo me to stage or sth. I'm shy ok. Haha!

Had dinner here. Really yummy cheese and choco fondue. Thanks to my treater, i was a happy and fatty treatee.

And finally a good rest for at least a day before i start on work again.
